Description
"Fort Point, S.F." was the third print of five offered by the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday, March 31, 1940, in their series Contemporary Graphics. This is a view looking across Marshall Beach to the old Fort Scott with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Fort Scott is part of the Presidio of San Francisco, which was a military post under the flags of three nations from 1776 to 1994. Now it is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
