Description
This impression is a signed, untitled proof from the artist's estate, outside the regular edition. "Cordova Plaza" was commissioned by the Woodcut Society as the Presentation Print for November of 1943, the 24th in thes series of 44 woodcuts issued between 1932 and 1954. The woodcut was printed by Baumann in an edition of 200 impressions which were pencil signed and titled by Baumann but were unnumbered. The print was issued in a portfolio that included an essay by George William Eggars. The Woodcut Society was located at the Care of the Torch Press, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
