Description
The Pecos Valley is a fertile New Mexican valley irrigated by the flow of Rio Pecos as it makes its way to the Rio Grande. According to Chamberlain, this image was the fourth title listed under the heading "Upper Pecos Valley" in Baumann's 1928 letterpress inventory of his color woodcuts, for a total of ten created after a journey there in 1920.
