Description
John Taylor Arms depicts a modest courtyard removed from the hustle and bustle of tourism in Pisa, Italy. Flanking the courtyard are stone buildings from around the 15th century, with potted plants resting on balconies and the occasional linen left out to air in the sun. Arms appreciated the quiet alleys and courtyards of neighborhoods as much as he appreciated the awe-striking Gothic architecture of historic cathedrals.
