The calavera newspaper, Extra Guerra Extra / Calaveras vaciladoras de la guerra, was published in 1939 in response to the World War by the Taller de Gráfica Popular as a large folio newspaper with six pages. Images were created by José Chavez Morado, Pablo O'Higgins, Alfredo Zalce, and others, in lithography, linoleum cut, and drawing, and lettering was transferred. This page features El Misterio del Gran Hueso on the recto and La Guerra de los friljoles on the verso. The six pages of the newspaper are illustrated on pages 398 and 399 in El Taller de Gráfica Popular: Vida y Arte, published by the Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia.
