Description
The Old Sailors Home, which was the original United States Marine Corps hospital of San Francisco, was built in 1875 in the Rincon Hill neighborhood, on Harrison between Spear and Main. The building had fallen into disrepair when Wilke chose it as his subject, and was demolished in 1924.
