Description

"Deer" is a linocut (linoleum cut) done in Southern California around 1937 during the Great Depression, however, the artist was not part of the WPA and self published her works in editions of 100.

This graphic art deco image of two deer is created using the white line to create the subject on a black background, imposing a different dynamic than a black line on a white background.
