Description
In this somewhat surreal image strange fish and sea creatures rise to observe the Greek goddess Andromeda, who has been chained to a rock, to be sacrificed to the sea monster Cetus to atone for her mother's (Cassiopea) boasting. She was rescued by Perseus, whose ship can be seen in the distance, approaching in a storm.
