The city of Le-Puy-en-Velay is located in the south central Auvergne-Rhone-Alps region of France. The region is known for its lace making and green lentil production, and the city itself is a major attraction for its 11th century cathedrals and churches featuring unusual granite and volcanic rock detailing, as well as its bucolic setting and the dramatic geological formations found within the city limits.
