Description

Misch Kohn worked with S.W. Hayter at the Atelier 17 in Paris in 1952 on a Guggenheim Fellowship, remaining friends with the influential printmaker after Kohn had returned to the U.S., occasionally returning to teach at the workshop.

Kohn's aptly named "Mob" utilizes the liquid nature of sugar-lift aquatint to lend movement to illustrate a scene of human chaos, rather than focus on sharp definition of intaglio. For more information on the artist, please see our biography, above.
