Description
A scene in miniature of gondolas lined up along the San Felice canal, a small bridge arched over the reflecting water. The Rio de San Felice is one of the smaller canals of Venice, Italy. Marion Holden Pope traveled to Paris in 1900 to study with James A.M. Whistler during which time she took a trip to Venice. She created several works from her sketches of the Italian city, including domestic interiors and archtecture.
