Description
This early 1950s lithograph by Jane Souffer was done in Provincetown, Mass. It shows the docks, with the steeple of the Provincetown Methodist Episcapol Church (for a while the Chrysler Museum of Art) dominating the background.
Stouffer attended the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Art Education. She attended the Boston Museum School for five years, studying printmaking and painting. It was during this time she created this lithograph.
