Born in Munich in 1941 Klaus Eberlein studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich as a student of Prof. Kaspar and where he received his Diploma of the Academy.  Eberlein is a member of the Association for Original Etching; Artists Dachau and Artists Munich.

Grants and Awards: In 1963 he received the Scholarship Foundation of Danner'schen; 1977, the Prize of the International book exhibition in Leipzig for illustration of the Aesop Fables.  In 1982 he received a Scholarship of the Richard Seewald Foundation, Switzerland, and in 1989 the Prize of the International book exhibition in Leipzig for illustrations of the "Knights of Ayst"

He continues to exhibit internationally.
