Biography

KC Joyce (Kacey) was born in 1947 in PORTLAND, Oregon. After studying art in Malaga, Spain between 1966-67, the University of Oregon in 1967-68 and the University of Pavia, Italy in 1968-69, she got her  B.F.A. in printmaking at the University of Oregon, Eugene in 1972.

Joyce, known for her reduction color linocuts, has exhibited extensively, particularly in the Northwest between the 1980s and 2000s.

 

Her works are represented in numerous collections including Oregon State University, Portland Art Museum, U of Oregon Museum of Art and the Munson Williams Proctor Museum in Utica, NY.

 

KC Joyce taught the reduction linocut at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. Her late husband David Joyce also taught at Lane and there is the David Joyce art gallery there is named in his memory. KC Joyce currently lives and works in Oregon.
