Richard Wagenger wrote this about Hurricane Ridge "This is from a trip I took to Washington to do research for my new book Cascadia. This was printed with seven blocks, one boxwood and six hard maple. The initial idea was to do an extra print that would accompany, but not be in, the eight Engraver's Edition of the book. In addition to the prints for the book, there is a limited edition of ten copies plus two artist's proofs that are being offered for sale separate from the book. This is the first multi-block color engraving of a landscape that I have done. I am indebted to Micah Schwaberow for his advice and encouragement that helped me complete the print."
