Description
A portrait of a Zeelander girl from the village of 's-Heer Arendskerke in traditional garb, with a white scarf in her hair. Max Pollak traveled frequently before serving in the Austrian Army, and again after the First World War ended. Wherever he traveled, he would capture the landscapes, cities, and people he came across; he'd then use these sketches as references for future intaglio prints.
