Description

Paden lived in Kyoto, Japan between the years 1963 and 1968. While there he studied the Japanese woodcut technique, working with Clifton Karhu.

Senjojiki is a rock plateau that thrusts into the Pacific, and is located in the resort town of Shirahama. The name "senjojiki" literally translates to "one thousand tatami mats" owing to the broad, flat, stacked rock formations that make up the plateau.
