http://www.satishjoshi.com/ Satish Joshi has dedicated himself to a dual career as a master teacher and practicing visual artist with a substantial exhibition history. His work is characterized by his distinctive use of surface impasto, which bring an instantly recognizable signature to his paintings and monotype prints, and correlates them for the viewer to his abstract metal sculpture. As a teacher he has enjoyed an equally distinguished career, serving for nearly four decades as a member and Chair of the Riverdale Country Day School Visual Arts Department, where the school campuses now host four of his monumental-scale limestone and marble figurative pieces and several abstract works in metal and stone. He is currently the Artist-in-Residence at School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York.
