Description

Alice Geneva "Gene" Kloss did this panoramic view across the Rio Grande Gorge in northern New Mexico in 1939 while living in Taos. It depicts Comanche Canyon, a valley in New Mexico and is nearby to Cañon de Jaramillo, Manzano Mountain Wilderness and Cañon del Trigo.

This is a view looking south toward Cerro Pedranal (referred to as 'the Pedranal), Spanish for "flint hill". The mesa lies on the north flank of the Jemez Mountains, south of Abiquiu Lake, in the Coyote Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest. http://www.fs.usda.gov/santafe/
