This lithograph by Seewald is from the "Arno Holz Portfolio," (Arno Holt zum sechzigsten Geburtstage gewidmet von deutschen Kunstlern) published by Fritz Gurlitt, Berlin in 1923. The portfolio, done on the occasion of Holz's 60th birthday, was composed of prints by 30 German artists including: Barlach Corinth, Geiger, Heckel, Kirchner, Kollwitz, Mueller, Pechstein, Schmidt-Rottluff, Seewald, Struck and many others. The portfolio was done in an edition of 100 with a further printing of 30 proofs, one portfolio for each contributor. This print is from the portfolio given to artist Hermann Struck (1876 - 1944).
