Description
A classic Art Deco sculpture in the Menneville style, depicting one of the most idealized visions of the time: a beautiful woman, clad in the Grecian-inspired tunic so fashionable at the time, lounging alongside her pet--in this case, a long-haired cat. This was likely done by a student of the French Art Deco school, in the same vein as Dimitri Chiparus, Jean Magrou, etc., artists whose heyday was in Paris during the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.
