Description
"Niagara Falls" is the fourth print from the series of 6 woodcuts known as the United States series. Yoshida used 6 blocks and a total of 29 impressions to achieve this image. A notation states: "Muda-bori". The blocks for this image were cut by Watanabe. According to the Toledo catalogue the initial edition was 60 impressions. The United States series woodcuts are Yoshida's first prints done in a series, totalling six images. This impression is from an edition printed by the Yoshida family after Hiroshi died.
