Description
This large etching is from the estate of the noted California collector, Roger Epperson. It was exhibited in the 2012 tribute exhibition "The Nature of Collecting. The Early 20th Century Fine Art Collection of Roger Epperson" mounted at Saint Mary's College Museum of Art.
"Shuksan" is a mountain in Partridge's home state of Washington, located Whatcom County near the Canadian border. It is one of the artist's most successful and popular prints and was exhibited widely. It is done in 2 states, the first being an edition of 120, such as this impression. The second state has the date in the lower corner removed.
