Description
Partridge did this etching of the front of what is now the New Mexico Museum of Art on the plaza in Santa Fe. He titled later impressions "In Santa Fe" and was done during a trip he took to the Southwest in 1926. The Museum was built in 1917 in the Pueblo style and was designed by I.H. and William Rapp, who had designed the New Mexico pavilion for the 1915 Panama Pacific Exposition in San Francisco. The "Palace of the Governors", built in the early 1600's is visible in the background.
