Description
"Bay at Sunrise" was the first of five prints offered by the San Francisco Chronicle on Sunday, March 24, 1940, in their third series of Contemporary Graphics. After growing up and studying in Hong Kong and the Europe, Kingman returned to San Francisco in 1929. "Bay at Sunrise" is a modernist landscape depicting the sun's ray breaking through the thick morning fog and awakening life dependent upon the bay.
