Description
A young Bosnian woman in traditional garb from the village of Jajce, which at the time of this drawing was still a part of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. It is now located in the Central Bosnia Canton and Herzegovina. She wears an elaborately embroidered vest and apron and curved-toe leather sandals. Max Pollak traveled frequently throughout his career and captured the traditional garb and architecture of the many cities, towns, and villages he came across.
