Description

Very rare. Thein/Lasansky had no impression to measure or illustrate. Though the raisonné lists the creation date as 1935, this impression is dated 1934.

Workers in the fields in Argentina harvest a crop, probably sugar cane. The mother in the foreground nurses her infant, which she holds in her left arm while using a sickle with her right and to cut the crop.

The plate for this image has been destroyed.
