Description
An intimate peek into a market (bazaar) somewhere in the Middle East or North Africa, a watercolor by Turkish artist D. Hidayet. A laden donkey stands quietly as three merchants engage in a discussion. In the background are produce stands and the architecture of the city glows above the crowd.
Little can be found about Orientalist painter D. Hidayet, he was Turkish and he died in 1972. Though he was prolific and his work can be found throughout the world he still is only known by his first initial, "D" and surname.
