Description

Carl Muller-Baumgarten depicts four skulls with the attributes of a fool's cap, globe, telescope, books, bag and staff and crown with the question: "Who was the gate, who wise, who a beggar or emperor?"

Once we humans have lost our flesh there is no way to tell one's life station, we are all equal, what we were is of no difference.
