Description
This lithograph was done in San Francisco during the FAP/WPA in 1932 and is from the estate of Joseph Allen, State Director of the California WPA Federal Art Project. A panoramic view of the San Francisco Bay before the construction of either the Golden Gate Bridge or the Bay Bridge. Encompassed in the expanse is Alcatraz, and beyond it Angel Island and the East Bay.
