Description
This impression was sold by the Jacques Baruch Gallery in Chicago, IL. This impression had been exhibited by the gallery in a one-man exhibition in 1980 and at the Kresge Art Center Gallery at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI in 1981. "Gioconda" was the title for the Mona Lisa, whose face is in the upper left. "Imperator" is a title given to a commander or an emperor and was a term adapted by Napolean, whose image is hinted at in the lower panels. This print is from Anderle's series "Cycles: Portraits in the Passage of Time."
