Description
An image of a child adjusting his tricycle on in Balmy Alley, in San Francisco's Mission District. While it's unsigned and not dated, the mural on the wall in front of him was painted in 1996 by the muralist Juana Alicia, a portrait of the El Salvadoran archbishop Oscar Romero that reads "Una ley inmoral nadie tiene que cumplirla / No one should comply with an imoral law". Balmy Alley has long been a hub of political muralism as well as neighborhood events, and as such has been a rich subject for photographers. We hope to soon discover who took this particular photograph.
