Description

Walter Henry "Jack" Beal, Jr. was an avid fly fisherman and fish appeared often in his imagery. "Trout" is a color lithograph that was co-published by Brooke Alexander, Inc and Allan Frumkin Gallery, in New York in 1977. The printing was done in nine colors by artist-printer Paul Narkiewicz, New York (chop, lower left margin).

There are impression of "Trout" in the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (1985.26), the Fine Arts Museums, San Francisco (1979.1.39) and the Art Institute of Chicago (1978.550), to name a few.
