Description

This 1955 AbEx intaglio reflects Kasten's time with Mauricio Lasansky in Iowa. Kasten uses soft ground, aquatint and stencil in a spontaneous way to create a surface of flat color areas that are defined by black lines that are almost 3 dimensional.
