Description
This drypoint and etching of the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn was done by German artist Chaim Aaron ben David, known as Hermann Struck, while on a trip to the USA. Struck was a member of the Seccession and a teacher of Chagall, Corinth, Liebermann, Ury and many others. Best known for his portraits he also was a competent landscape etcher. Struck immigrated to Palestine in 1922 and lived there the rest of his life.
