Description
Though Gross was never listed as a participant at the Atelier, he and Hayter continued to greatly influence and inspire one another's work after they had graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In Hayter's "About Prints" he uses Gross's work to illustrate etching techniques, and celebrates Gross's turn as the directior of the intaglio department at the Slade School of London, following the death of its founder and their mutual teacher, printmaker John Buckland-Wright.
