Description
An unsigned proof (Geffroy 217) from the first state, numbered 1/4, before the plate was cut down in the second state. The second state (Geffroy 118) was published in an edition of 100, plus 10 proofs. The second state adds in more background surrounding the figure and trims off the bottom of the plate.
