A 1979 holiday greeting by California Funk printmaker William T. Wiley. This impression was printed at Trillium as a lithograph in black and was then hand colored and annotated by Wiley. At this point he signed with a "W" in a circle. Because of the hand coloring this impression is unique.
As he often does in his work, Wiley uses a self portrait a the subject of the composition, here with a Christmas tree hat, holding a blackboard and flashing the "V" victory sign. Beneath the eraser at the bottom he has added a note to the recipient, Linda S, where he declares; "A Void is Form .. A Form is Void"
This impression is from the personal collection of a long-time Trillium employee who decided she needed to downsize.
