This impression was exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art in 1933. Bernarda Bryson Shahn, wife of painter Ben Shahn, left Ohio for NY in 1933, the year this impression was exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art between May 3 and June 11. In NY she interviewed Diego Rivera who introduced her to her future husband, Ben Shan. She went on to a long career as a writer and illustrator of children's books as well as continuing her painting.
