Description
This self portrait by Luks was done at the Philadelphia Press Art Dept. party, April, 1894, the year Luks joined the staff. Luks worked as an artist/correspondent, characturist and comic strip artist. It was from the collection of noted Philadelphia art restorer and collector Pasquale Farina (1865 - c.1934) whose advertising included the assurances "No Chemicals Used - Dilapidated Paintings Safely Returned to Life..."
