Description
Morgan began working in wood engraving but, while in Italy in 1924 on a Prix de Rome, he began engraving in copper. He produced 35 works between 1926 and 1932, of which only 23 have surfaced. This drypoint of an old stone farmhouse in disrepair is a fine example of his intaglio engraving and his use of light and of the dark line that a drypoint can create.
