Trained as an architect, Woollett documented the building of the Hoover Dam in a series of etchings and lithographs and a book. This etching has a label that reads: "September, 1932 - Genereal View of Upper Portal construction. Dam will span chasm directly behind basket rope shown here near centre (sic) of picture."
