Leo Katz's experience for three decades as a painter, muralist, and photographer gave him a sturdy artistic background to start from when he began studying at the Atelier 17 in New York in the 1940s. In "Gemini..." his focus seemed to be less on how to compose a print than how to utilize the tools; the elegance of the line, use of color, and balance of imagery create a Surrealist nocturnal landscape that is expertly executed.
