Description
This early abstract color screenprint by Warrington Colescott uses mythology as an inspiration. A "hecatomb" in ancient Greece was a sacrifice of 100 cattle to the gods, in this case Hector, the great Trojan prince/warrior and founder of Troy.
Colescott does not fit this image into a frame or box, the edges are undefined, as is the image - as if it were drawn on the wall of a cave in ancient Greece.
