Description
Danish printmaker Nicolai Hammer created this color etching of Rosenberg Castle in the middle of winter. Rosenborg Castle, located in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark, was built in 1906 in the Dutch Renaissance style as a summer house by Christian IV. Rosenborg was used as a royal residence only twice, and both these times were during emergencies. Surrounding the castle is the "King's Garden," a popular retreat for the residents of Copenhagen. See our biography link above for more information about the artist.
