S.W. Hayter created 39 greeting cards that heralded the new year. Over the years he used various printmaking techniques to achieve the image he wanted. Though not officially editioned they were generally done in campaigns of around 100 impressions. These were signed, sometimes annotated, and sent to colleagues and friends around the world. This was Hayter's greeting card for 1946-47. It was done in three states and the final state was printed in a campaign of around 100, which was not numbered.
